Internationally renowned insurance expert Astrid Stange will join the management team as Co-CEO of ELEMENT as of August 1, subject to approval by the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority. Together with Christian Macht, she will lead and drive the next growth phase of the company.
Astrid Stange has prioritized driving innovation, data and technology at the AXA Group, the world's largest insurer, to accelerate technology-enabled business strategies and business models. In her new position at the technology-driven B2B2X insurance company ELEMENT, the digitalisation expert has a clear agenda:
To consistently develop ELEMENT’s technology, which already makes it possible to have / get partners business-ready in just a few days;
To use the success of proprietary technology to consistently align the insurer's business model and the benefits für ELEMENT's partners;
To continue developing and growing the innovation-driven ELEMENT team that has laid the foundations for a data-driven business and operations model.

From 2017 to 2021, Astrid Stange was a member of the Management Committee and Chief Operating Officer of AXA Group, as well as CEO of AXA Group Operations, AXA Group's global technology and operations provider with more than 8,000 employees. She started at AXA Germany in 2014 as a board member for Strategy, HR, Organization and Customer Management. Prior to that, Astrid Stange was a Senior Partner and member of the Global Insurance Leadership Team at The Boston Consulting Group, where she led the German insurance business from 2008 to 2013, among other positions. Astrid Stange is also a member of the supervisory boards of Lufthansa AG and Atos SE.
